September 25th, 2019.

Today a group of our BSA Executive students attended a "We Rise Together" conference at Mississauga Secondary School. The conference was held throughout the day, with morning ice breaking activities. Following lunch, the group, made up of students and teachers from schools across peel, engaged in conversation about changes schools could make in order to stop issues regrinding race and diversity in Peel.

"The conference was an amazing opportunity for black students to learn and interact with others that share similar perspectives and experiences!" One of our BSA presidents Trinity Ramsey shared.

Our students were thrilled to be invited to the conference and are excited and anticipating another meeting. Our BSA executive team firmly believes we can help make change, and that these conferences are a step in the right direction, a step towards change.
